Inpatient Services

The medical/surgical unit at Florence Hospital at Anthem’s provides quality care for patients admitted with illness, accidents, or surgery. Registered nurses and nursing assistants have, at minimum, basic life support skills and receive an extensive orientation and training program. R.N.'s are certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support. The team at Florence Hospital at Anthem’s concentrates on providing our patients the highest in nursing standards. Some conditions require more intensive monitoring and the entire medical/surgical staff is prepared to take care of your every need - so, when you're checked into Florence Hospital at Anthem’s, we make sure you feel like things are being done for you, rather than to you.

The staff provides care and support to families during all aspects of their illnesses. We strive to give the same attention to the patient and family as if they were our own. We respect privacy and work hard to maintain that trust between physician, family, and patients.

Our services and staff are backed by state of the art equipment that permits up-to-date care to be delivered, fulfilling our commitment of providing the highest quality of patient care possible.

Florence Hospital at Anthem’s utilizes Hospitalists (trained Internal Medicine Physicians) as part of our daily in-patient service. Hospitalists are physicians who devote their entire practice to the care of hospitalized patients. Hospitalists are Board Certified in Internal Medicine, and treat hospitalized patients who have been referred from our emergency room doctors or admitted directly to the hospital from their primary care doctors.
